Week 11: The Cold War Begins

This week we will begin by watching a movie about the first African American pilots in the United States military and the battles they fought within the military to gain respect and earn their place in American history.  Although you are completing a viewing guide while watching the movie, I ask that you also pay attention to the actual movie.   We will then begin discussing the Cold War and what America looked like directly following World War II.  At the end of the war, America was firmly established as a world power.  We will look at what that truly mean on such a grand stage.
